![[Pasted image 20251201155121.png]] *Laak* is a work for Solo Viola incorporating 'half-harmonics' - a technique that involves pushing the string down with sligfht pressure allowing both the fundamental pitch and the high harmonic to speak simultaneously (or quickly enough that they sound simultaneous) *Laak* was written primarily in the neighbourhood of the same name in The Hague, where I was living at the time.
